Before co-founding Re-Set MindBody, Nan Flaherty was an instructor for the non- profit Growing Minds, from 2010-2016. Nan taught Yoga and Mindfulness to students, as well as developed and wrote curriculum. Nan received her Mindfulness certification in a year-long program through Mindful Schools; a non-profit organization that trains educators to be active Mindful Leaders in their communities. Nan has trained in the Learning to BREATHE and Calm Classroom curricula. She is further certified as a 250 hour yoga instructor and also completed the Yoga Ed course, an evidence based yoga program. Nan is also certified as an Ayurvedic practitioner, a holistic health practice.
Through the integration of these trainings, as well as a personal yoga and mindfulness practice, Nan excels at engaging with others at an authentic level that creates a learning environment in which individuals feel supported, encouraged, and connected. Nan is passionate about empowering diverse groups with tools that enable them to improve their ability to maintain focus, develop self-awareness, self-regulation, resiliency and expand their sense of well-being.
