Reset-MindBody in conjunction with Senior MBSR teacher Jesse Foy, the Founder of Rooted in Mindfulness, is proud to offer a specialized retreat for educators and care providers. As the name suggests, a Mindfulness Self-Compassion (MSC) intensive is a deep dive into the practice of self-compassion.

Overview

During this day-long retreat, participants will be instructed in techniques of mindful self-compassion to be better able to recognize when they are under stress and face what is happening in their lives with a kinder and sustainable approach.

What to Expect

In this workshop, participants will learn ways to comfort themselves in difficult moments and to minimize “caregiver fatigue.”  This retreat is designed specifically for educators and care providers and works toward an understanding of ways to deal skillfully with the effects of:

  • Burn-out
  • Secondary Traumatic Stress
  • Compassion Stress
  • Compassion Fatigue
  • Vicarious Traumatization

momentBenefits

Research has shown that self-compassion greatly enhances emotional well-being. It boosts happiness, reduces anxiety and depression. This retreat will equip participants with tools and techniques to develop their self-compassion as they head into a new school year.
